Last fall us ‘Supsters found ourselves in the awesome situation of sharing a table in a Tex Mex place with New Young Pony Club before a show. Smack dab in the middle of NME’s Klaxons buzz word hysteria, there were some questioned that needed to be posed. When asked what she thought of the term New Rave, Tai rolled her eyes, raised an eyebrow, and purred, ‘What do you think?’ All parties laughed and the air having been cleared, move on to the next question. Cut to only months later and the term, which originated for lack of a better word- basically because the terms ‘Disco Punk’ and ‘Electro Rock’ had reached their 12 month expiration date- is now a full blown tour & awards show. What exactly do the Ed Banger Crew, CSS, and Datarock have in common? If anything, they have shamed us all back onto the dance floor. C’mon in to Slap You In Public and Music For Robot’s ‘People Don’t Dance No More’ party with Das Glow and Curses!!
